When does the Trial begin? Once I sign the agreement or once the system is up and running?
Once we receive a signature and deposit, the Trial will begin. Then we will conduct 1 day of discovery and then ~2 days to install and test Hotel Shield.
What happens when the trial runs out?
Hotel Shield will be available for a long-term contract at your discretion.
What locations are available for trial?
Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas
Who else will see any potential Incidents? And how can we make sure we protect privacy while participating in the trial?
- Trial Participant + anyone from your internal team at your discretion
- Hotel Shield, under confidentiality and mutual non-disclosure agreement. We are open to other solutions (e.g., attorney/client privilege)
- Any outreach to third parties (e.g., nonprofits, Law enforcement, etc.) will be based on your policies and procedures as well as any governing statutory requirements
Which law enforcement agencies and nonprofits are you working with? Have they signed NDAs?
We have a proprietary dataset of law enforcement and nonprofit contacts throughout California, Florida, and Texas
Will this trial expose me to more legal liability?
Human trafficking in the hospitality vertical is a significant and growing risk. Hotel Shield is working to reduce this legal and regulatory risk. Our good faith intent of this trial is to do so without increasing any other type of liability risk (e.g., data privacy).
Does it matter what software (e.g., Property Management System) I use?

Can alerts be routed into our existing tools (e.g., outlook, teams, incident management, oracle, etc.)
During the trial we will work with you to fit your process needs
Do we need any more devices or need to install any new equipment? (e.g., iPad, mobile, terminals, apps)
Hotel Shield will provide your property with 1 TruePath Vision Camera and processor. All you need is Wi-Fi enabled.
Where will my data be stored after the trial is up?
- During and after the Trial, all of your data belongs to you. After the trial, if you decide to not engage Hotel Shield, we will delete all of your information and maintain confidentiality.
- Lessons learned to prevent, detect, or respond to human trafficking could be used by Hotel Shield to improve our solution, however such lessons learned will not contain any client or guest identifying information.
Who is going to train my staff on how to use Hotel Shield? Who from my staff needs to know how to use Hotel Shield?
- Only Trial Participants need to use Hotel Shield and we can train any other members of your team at your discretion. Other staff (e.g., front desk attendees, housekeeping, etc.) do not need to use Hotel Shield.
- Hotel Shield strives to make the user interface as intuitive as possible to ease training and operability, and not add work to our Trial participants.
